Over the years, it evolved into a fluid steel barreled, hammerless shotgun offered in many grades, from field grade to custom built, high grade sporting arms with elaborate engraving and select woods. The three Parker 'Invincible' Grade guns, made to celebrate the production of the 200,000th Parker Gun are in the NRA Museum Collection in Fairfax, Va. The guns quickly earned their reputation both in the field and in competitive target shooting venues. There were over 11000 12-gauge PH-Grades produced with Twist barrels.
Circa 1898 they added the VH-Grade with Vulcan Steel barrels, and in 1912 they added the even lower priced Trojan Grade. In 1888 and 89 the GH-Grade was the lowest grade Parker Bros. The firearm was originally crafted with Damascus steel “twist” style barrels and external hammers. The PH-Grade was added to the Parker Bros. Parker Guns were designed and built predominately as side by side, double-barrel shotguns. All of our repairs are made using original parts and finished to factory specifications set forth by Parker Brothers who pioneered many advances in the development of American sporting arms. Both sides of the barrel flat are marked 'OVERLOAD / PARKER BROS / PROVED' and the right barrel flat is marked 'HT / A', 'PS' in circle, and '31'. Markings: The barrel rib is marked PARKER BROS MAKERS. The Del Grego name is highly respected throughout the world and is synonymous with expert Parker gunsmithing skills.
